I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. We love it. GREAT food, strong drinks. Watch out for the drink for two, don't get one for yourself. It's right outside the metro stop. We come here before going to capital one arena, especially on hockey nights. The pics are from two visits. We don't usually get two meals because it's hard to finish. We are stuffed. One meal with soup and spring rolls is about perfect for two. I'm very surprised it doesn't have more stars. Check it out.
I cannot believe I haven’t been here before and will definitely be back regularly. The food was so good - ordered two dishes recommended by the server, the sizzling beef/peppers and the seafood hot pot casserole w glass noodles. Beautiful space and excellent service as well. Also happy that they have cocktails. Was great for just me and my partner but they have plenty of large tables that seat 10 so I’ll be recommending this place for my next group dinner.
Very slow. Very poor quality. And service extremely rude, especially server ‘Alex’. We requested some salt and pepper chicken which when it arrived turned out to essentially be breaded chicken tenders with neither salt nor pepper. When we queried this we were met with lots of huffing and puffing and were told that we were wrong with an insinuation of ‘how dare we’. Having sampled many Chinese dishes from around the world as someone that travels a lot I can comfortably say this was one of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had. All of which would’ve been tolerable if the service hadn’t been so arrogant, rude and slow. It’s in the middle of China town so perhaps they are just comfortable with the footfall and resent the actual customer service element. It didn’t seem like any of the staff a
My family enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Tony Cheng restaurant before attending the First Theater Christmas Carol. Service is outstanding a broad menu of Chinese delights and great Jasmine Tea. Highly recommend to all.
Tony Cheng’s Restaurant is hands-down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. A longtime favorite, it somehow keeps getting better. Every dish is flawless—bold, balanced, and deeply authentic. The recent remodel elevates the experience even further. This is a DC must.
