Town of Ulster Library

A small but mighty library. My daughter and I love the children programming led by Barbara Joy! It seems there is something for families nearly everyday. We also enjoy just stopping by to play with the toys (they had tons of puzzles!) and find books.

The staff at the desk made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in until I left. I came in 15 minutes before closing and they were still eager for me to explore the space and see all that they have to offer. Fantastic book displays, a seed library worth swooning for, and instruments that can be taken out with a library card! 10/10, would recomment.

a lovely, cozy little library with a very warm vibe! :) the staff is friendly, a lady named emily was particularly kind to me and complimented my skirt while checking out my book. just a great atmosphere and a great selection of books as well, easy to navigate too! i wish i was closer so i could visit more often. made my day!

I have been a member of this library for the last ten years. They have always had wonderful children's events and resources which was so helpful to me as a single mother that couldn't afford much outside of the absolutely necessary. I continue to participate in the Adult craft nights. The staff has always been wonderful and respectful. This library also offers many additional platforms such as Kanopy for borrowing movies and series, Hoopla for borrowing ebooks and audio books, Universal Class to take learning courses, and Libby that allows you to borrow books from the NY city library if you have a NY city library card which anyone who is a resident of NY state can get. They also have passes to local museums. The Town of Ulster Library is the best!

We have been patrons of the Town of Ulster Public Library for many years and the staff there have always been helpful, courteous and kind. When my husband was recently hospitalized, Kerrie went out of her way to help us with book renewals and material waiting for pick-up so that he wouldn't lose the books and dvds that he had requested. This is a great community library and the staff gets a 5 star rating from us!
