Was looking for a nice spot for our Saturday night date. This was perfect, our waitress helpful and very friendly. The cauliflower wings looked so good when they came out we dug in before I could even get the picture. It’s a little hidden gem in uptown and we are so happy we found it. Highly recommend!!

We arrived on a Friday evening and it was only a 20 min wait to be seated on the patio. Food was AMAZING! Started with the brussel sprouts which were unique and delicious. The wonton strips added the perfect crunchy texture. Signature burgers, salads, and fries were all amazing too. The salad was more of an upscale salad that had the perfect flavor. Fries were piping hot and oh so crunchy. Drinks were delicious as well. Service was a little slow (35+ min wait for entrees, 15+ min wait for drinks), but they were really busy, so totally understandable! Everyone we had an encounter with was very friendly! We will definitely be back to try something new!

Happened upon this place on a recent search. We met the parents here for breakfast. It's conveniently located just off High Trestle Trail so it'd be a good place to stop at the beginning or end of a day's excursions. The space was beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was incredible! I tried Mom's Biscuits & Gravy and it tasted like pure comfort! The real gold star goes to the dish I ordered, though. The Salmon Benedict with pickled onions added. Holy moly! My mouth is watering just thinking of it! What a perfect amalgamation of flavors! Seriously...I kind of already want to go back, and I don't typically repeat restaurants. SO GOOD!!! Trailside Tap is a must-visit in Ankeny! The back patio is amazing. The Berry Summer Salad and Three Pepper Burger were packed with flavor and just the right size. And do yourself a favor—order the Mulberry Mule. You won’t regret it!
