Who was in the kitchen tonight?! Because whoever it was, was in their bag. What a compelling plate of food. Truly—who was cooking tonight?! My husband and I were ready to place the entire order all over again, but they had already closed for the evening. We’ve been regulars at Tropical Eatz for the full two years we’ve lived in Gainesville, eating there anywhere from once to three times a week 😅 for context, I have a shortcut to order online from them on my Home Screen. Food was good. I had the fusion combos ( stew chicken ,and creole shrimp with rice and macnand cheese). Everything was delicious. There's chair you can sit inside and eat. Great customer service,the guy upfront explain the menu to me which made it lot easier to order food. Apparently, you can also order online.

The food was so flavorful and delicious and the service was great! I have never had Jamaican/Haitian food but am familiar with Caribbean food and flavors and they did not disappoint. Perfect balance of seasonings, bursting with different flavors that work so well together, great consistency, cook, and moisture on the jerk chicken and curry shrimp. Too good. I recommended Tropical Eats!

We picked up a few orders yesterday for Christmas. We're very thankful to have the opportunity to order out and enjoy more time for the holidays. As this is a fusion place, we're appreciative of the opportunity to experience a bit of the Haitian-Jamaican Culture and mindful that this wasn't going to be a full on Haitian Cuisine experience. We hope to see this place continue to flourish! We had Rice bowls with Haitian Fried Chicken and Griot. Portion is great for two-three meals if you aren't a heavy eater, portioned and presented well. We've had ample authentic Haitian foods, so we do look for that taste when we try a new place. We would've liked to have a spicier Pikliz with less of the broth.
