Troubadour Bakery

I bought the Troubadour Bakery English muffins at Metcalfe Market in Madison they are the best I have ever had & will go out of my way to get them again.

I too cannot speak to other aspects of Troubadour Bakery, but I am going to seek out their other products. I recently tried their English muffins and they are the best I have ever had. They are coated in cornmeal, which I love, and they toast up perfectly. I am obsessed.

Used to buy the Troubadour english muffins at Fresh Thyme but they were old and stale. I started going to the Colectivo location in Bay View and there’s a big difference in freshness- really just depends on the day of the week and when they baked the bread. Today, their sourdough was perfect but the english muffins were from a few days ago. I don’t mind paying for the quality but the lack of consistency in the freshness is where I feel they should improve.

I can't speak to the physical shop, but I bought their English muffins from Willy Street Coop in Madison and they are the best store bought English muffins I have ever had. I will be looking for other Troubadour baked goods on my next trip to the coop.

This was our first time here. They had everything we wanted and then some. The drinks were hot and tasty, the bakery was fabulous and plentiful. I had a wonderful pumpkin scone, my grandson a pumpkin cinnamon roll big enough for two. They were very busy so we had a bit of a wait for drinks but it was well worth it and parking was a little bit of a walk but we were there during the morning rush. We will definitely go back when we are in the neighborhood.
