Truck In The Sand

The "Truck In The Sand" restaurant and bar is a great little sandwich bar at Watch Hill National Seashore. They run a great business here and it is very handy in the morning to swing by and get a bacon egg and cheese! The Staff: The staff are friendly, attentive and very polite! They come in each day on the morning ferry and open the restaurant at 8am everyday! Food: For the three days that we were there each morning we went here and got a bacon, egg and cheese on a bun! The sandwich really hit the spot especially in the mornings! They have a range of other options to choose from including other types of sandwiches and pancakes! They have a variety of condiments including hot sauce which I think went perfectly with the bacon, egg and cheese! Decor/Layout: There is plenty of seating situ

Pretty good laidback place in the greatest part of Fire Island. Next to the beach, campground, nature trail, marina and ferry. Drinks not expensive. Every weekend they have a live music, not the best, but why not. The bar and marina mostly for “friends and families”

The Schedule online states Monday through Friday, 9AM to 7PM... That information was wrong. No worker's, No food, nothing. After a busy Memorial Day weekend, this place was closed closed up tight, as if the season were closed. So, we had no choice but to eat at the camp store, of which, was also closed for most of the week... And when there "Was" workers, we were rudely told, "No, we're not open here!" We had to walk to Davis Park for breakfast and coffee. This was a very uncomfortable week

Service was great! They greeted me even when i was getting tissues. And food was pricey, but amazing! French fries were seasoned great and the Pina Coladas were amazing! Place also looks like it was maintained well. Looks like a paradise compared to the rest of the campsite…

I suggest grabbing drinks, enjoying the views, relaxing and playing cornhole or horseshoes. The food was not up to par (tried the calamari and coconut shrimp).
