I went to the stadium in Austin to catch the game at UT OU and found that they are away. It sure is a good thing H-E-B has everything set. Here, one can find anything they are looking for from steak to sushi and a great BBQ meal served by great employees and a good manager whom checked on all the patrons enjoying the UT OU game live on screen. I ordered an ocktoberfest on draft to compliment my lunch and outing. I would like to make note of the spacious and clean atmosphere. Check these pictures out.
The family and I come here every Tuesday for good food and a fun game of Live Trivia hosted by Challenge entertainment. Lamont, Jarrod and Chris are always happy to help. Come check it out :)
Just flew in from Arizona and was going to stop at my old BBQ spot but we decided to try HEB’s. Definitely my new spot when I come to town!! Food was delicious!
Update: I wrote a glowing review a few weeks ago after a great experience at True Texas BBQ inside Hancock H-E-B. So I’m updating on the same review. Unfortunately, this second visit was very disappointing. I was excited to finally try the mac and cheese that was sold out last time, but it was inedible. The pasta was so overcooked it was falling apart, and the sauce tasted like uncooked flour. It didn’t taste like cheese at all. The BBQ meat was also a letdown. What was supposed to be fatty, tender brisket was just pure fat with barely any meat. And to top it off, the dining area had a noticeable fly problem, which made the whole experience even worse. The only positive moment came when I told the attendant that I couldn’t eat the mac n cheese. He was kind and offered to replace it with
I ordered combo with one meat and two sides. 10/10 beans and good meat. My issue was the fact that meat was a bit colder than i expected and portion could be a bit bigger.
