Tucker's Italian

Nice place! The cheese came with candied nuts and crostini, which was a nice touch. A might not be my first choice for a meatball sandwich, but the bread was soft and tasty and the meatballs were in a very good sauce. It was dead empty at 2 PM, I hope this place is getting the support it deserves.

The food is so good. The chicken I got was so juicy and perfectly cooked. My husband got the lasagna bolognese he absolutely loved it. We also got a side of veggies perfectly smoked and grilled. We got the charcuterie board and the candy pecan’s were so good. We got everything to go since they were almost closing but everything was nicely packaged and sealed. Everything was so good I had to immediately post a review. The person who helped me get my order was super sweet. The place was quiet inside but it’s 8pm so I figured it would. The place is super clean inside and I like you can see the kitchen.

Haven’t eaten here yet, but I had to dip in to the iconic Tuckers Kozy Korner to see the transformation. Lots of small details were kept to pay homage to Tuckers origins, but this new paint says “Italian Bodega” the moment you walk through the doors. Great vibe! Smells amazing! Will update in coming days after I eat!

Tucker’s Italian — from the incredible team behind Il Forno — is an absolute gem. The handmade pasta is next-level: tender, flavorful, and clearly crafted with real skill. Their in-house cured meats are outstanding and add a depth you just don’t find anywhere else in San Antonio. Every dish we tried had that perfect balance of rustic Italian comfort and thoughtful culinary technique. A fantastic addition to the city’s dining scene — we’ll be back very soon.
