Twanie's Terrific Treats

Listen call ahead and/or order ahead. We came in from New Orleans and they were sold out of everything and it was 2 hours before close. It wasnt a big deal as we planned to go back the next day,but please keep that in mind. The parking lot is cramped,but some people parked in an empty lot across the street. There is a Law office next door,but please dont park there to be fair to them. Now full disclosure my wife is the sweets person. I absolutely HATE sweets. This place even blew me away. I had to try a piece of King Cake,and honestly its on par or better than some spots back in New Orleans. My wife had the Cookie Monster and Biscoff Cake and again even I thought they tasted awesome. We'll be stopping in when we're in the area again.

Came from Colorado to visit in-laws in Lake Charles and saw a prayer card from Twanies on my sister-in-laws counter, so I decided to stop in and give it a try. Even though I’m not a huge cookie fan, let me tell you, the biscoff cookie was amazing!! I usually ration my treats over 2 days, but I ate the WHOLE thing except a few small bites that I was saving for my road trip back home. I wish I bought more of this cookie! I bought chocolate chip and peach cobbler cookies for my in-laws and they said all were delicious! Definitely stopping back in next year when we visit Lake Charles again! And I’ll be sharing the prayer card with my pastor in Colorado, who is from New Orleans.

The red velvet cheesecake gave me a religious experience. My friend who got the bread pudding said she'd never had bread that puddin'd like that before! There's magic in these deserts! I would have taken pictures, but that cheesecake went straight to my tummy!

Really would like to try them but every time I go there they are closed with a “sold out” sign on the door. I’m saying I would like to try your baked goods. I’ve been by more than a few times and haven’t been able to go inside. What rating would you like? I’m not sure what I should give since I didn’t get to try anything.
