TWICE BUTTER

We were driving as a family from Orlando, the kids were starving, and we stopped at Twice Butter around 6 pm. To our surprise, there were no other guests at that time, and we were able to place our order right away. Everything was prepared and brought out incredibly fast — exactly what a tired family with hungry kids needs. I want to give special thanks to the chefs — the food was not only fast, but truly delicious. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and you could feel that every dish was well thought out. Even a simple burger turned out to be anything but simple — it was unbelievably tasty. And the pizza deserves its own paragraph. It’s very hard to find a truly well-made pizza with thin crust — and this one was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture, great flavor, just outstanding. One

Probably the best vegetable omelet I've had at a restaurant. Great home potatoes! Good coffee!! Clean. Friendly and efficient waitstaff. Our new go-to breakfast place in/around LP!

Well, someone finally got a 5 across the board. I've never given that, so this place is special. True home cooked breakfast, a variety of foods for each meal & plenty on the cocktail menu, plus Smoothies. Service was great, atmosphere is a touch of country & nice touch of high end without the glitz. Love the bar area, nice home feeling, not a drunk hang out. Not impressed. Prices are high, servings are small and the food isn't all that great. Ordered a cheese steak, that came on a roll that wasn't any bigger than a hot dog roll and more roll than meat. Also ordered a $15 buffalo chicken pizza to take home and was told the size was about the size of a large but was no where near a large pizza I am accustom to. The crust was awful and flavor no much as we added more hot sauce and ranch at home. Atmosphere was like sitting in an old retail store with a few tables and a couple booths. Decor, not much to say. None. No, I won't go back.

I've been there 3 times and the food is very good. Had their soup and 1/2 sandwich lunch special, chicken tenders (a huge serving) and a Philly Cheese Steak Pizza which was great. My hubby had a $20 Wagu Beef Burger and loved it. It's nice to have a place that serves outstanding food in Lake Placid just wish they were open on Christmas Eve. The atmosphere could use a little more TLC to go with the full bar and great menu. Like carpeting and drapes or even valances, which would soften up the diner look it currently has. But that won't keep me away!
