Umami Sushi & Asian Cuisine

Incredibly mid-tier sushi. I’m not a local, but visited with friends. Our server was very good and friendly, but the actual food service was incredibly slow. This wasn’t an issue as we wanted a slow paced evening, but may be of concern to others. The main drawback was fish quality - perhaps we just came on an off day, but the fish quality left much to be desired and certainly didn’t live up to the hype. Perhaps it’s just reflective of the logistics getting fresh fish to the area, but much of the fish wasn’t of great texture. It wasn’t fishy or low quality by any means, but definitely had room for improvement.

The food of this family run business is so delicious! This won’t be our last time coming by. We loved the exclusive nigiri (wagyu from Japan and buttery ‘Oforo’ Bluefin Tuna belly). The Tiger Roll with the addition of citrus was a surprising delight. Peaceful atmosphere and very friendly service. Thank you!

Excellent food, service & atmosphere. Fish was really fresh, the Miso Cod was cooked to perfection, the poke & Seared Ahi salads were really well done with tasty sauces, and the baked mussels were also just right with a very tasty bbq-style sauce. Recommended.

Really impressed! Food was beautiful and tasty. Really glad they had ramen bowls. The prices are slightly higher than places in Medford but worth not driving. What stood out the most is attentiveness and personally of our server. The booth seating is in desperate need of replacements, but otherwise the atmosphere is very welcoming. I calculated prices to be about 30-50 a person depending on how hungry you are. Addendum: 12/19/25. We visited again and though the service and food is outstanding, this is the second time the bathrooms have been disheveled. It’s very frustrating when you cannot cleanse your hands before eating a pricey meal and even more so when it’s brought up and ignored. Ownership, please address this issue.

Dinner here was so good! We made a reservation, but ended up showing up 20 minutes early, and we were met with only a 2 minute wait! I noticed other groups had longer waits, so I recommend making a reservation. We got the Shrimp Tempura roll, Philadelphia, and the Spicy Kani. All 3 were very good, and dinner was very reasonably priced, about 20 dollars per person with drinks! The atmosphere was very nice, and our server, Andrew, was super kind to us, and helpful!! An amazing experience, and I would definitely go again.
