Food was great! The poke bowl was not too bad, although I feel that the ahi could have been fresher. The tacos were of good size and overall a lot of delicious food served for lunch. The family had a great time. Cash is preferred here. Otherwise be prepared to pay an extra 3% for credit card processing fees (which typically should be covered by the restaurant).

Umekes is great. My coworkers kept recommending coming here and try the Poke. It did not disappoint I order the DA AVO poke nachos and it was delicious, I strongly recommend it. If you ever in Kona, go to Umekes and give it a try if your looking to eat fresh fish!!!

Excellent! Yummy! Hawaiian mai tai is great. Love the 3 tacos with Ahi fresh catch. Generous anount of fish, crispy, lovely sauce and cabbage. Very pretty too! Really yummy lolo kulolo and liliko'i cheesecake Must go here!

I would eat everything on this menu, twice. We each got poke bowl; the avo with the Loki salmon and i got the sweetie with the spicy crab. It’s probably the best meal I’ve had so far and I’ve rated quite well the last few days during my visit. I got a sweet mai tai which is hard to beat. Got seats at the bar and billy was great. As busy as he was working alone he still made sure we had timely service and some conversation. TVs at the bar which was nice for NFL. I need to go back and the problem is I’d be battling to get something other than poke as much as I want it.

Tldr; Nice seafood, enjoyable location for a date! We ordered the Poke bowl and Lau Lau. The Lau Lau was a nice dish, unique, and had great flavor balance. The leaf wrap pork really had savory flavor. The poke bowl was fresh but the sauce was a little heavy; a tad salty. Overall a great place for a dinner date. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.
