My absolute favorite Japanese-Chinese restaurant in town! Umemura truly feels like “町中華” — a warm, family-run neighborhood Chinese restaurant just like in Japan. Their Umani Ramen is hands down the best ramen in California… maybe even in the entire US. That’s how amazing it is! I also love their Kanitama Chahan (fried rice topped with an imitation crab omelet). Everything is always super fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. This place is loved by all my Japanese friends, Japanese American friends, and even my American friends — everyone falls in love with it! The servers are kind and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes every visit feel comforting. Highly, highly recommended!

EXPERIENCE 1*** (Positive) 07/21/25 My Mom brought me here. This is a place she likes to visit on occasion. Besides Ramen they also have Yakisoba, Rice Dishes, and a few Side Dishes. Mom and I decided to share the Kanitami Chahan and a Side Order of Gyoza. This is a very casual eatery. And, service here is very friendly and easy going. When our food arrived it was picture perfect. The Kanitama Chahan, which is fried rice layered with a crab omelet covered in sauce, was delicious. And, the Gyoza was a delicate bite, lightly browned and crisp, the filling was light, moist and extremely tasty. If this type of food interests you, it's worth a visit. There's parking in the back of the restaurant.

I haven't been here for a long time, but I am definitely gonna be back very soon. Their Kanitama fried rice is so good, and Umani Yakisoba was also delicious. We didn't have to wait too long for a table, and the food came out pretty fast after we ordered it. Service is wonderful and the food is amazing, so I will be back soon. The Gyoza is also yummy, and I would recommend this place for your next lunch or dinner.

This place is really good. The broth is really flavorful. The fried rice was also really good. This is one of the most authentic ramen spots I've been to.
