Uncle Goyo's

I love every experience I have at Goyo’s. Their customer service is top notch. My server, Dino, was very easy going and friendly with good recommendations. The decor is upscale but still authentic. The street tacos are perfectly seasoned and mildly spicy. I’m a big fan of the dessert too. The tres leches cake is delicious. The flan is creamy and sweet. This will definitely be a regular spot for me going forward.

I’m really disappointed! I had high expectations for this place, but the food tasted nothing like what I experienced from the truck. The taco salad was just a bag of lettuce with a small diced half of a chicken breast. The tacos were so salty that I couldn’t eat them without worrying about high blood pressure. The margarita was watery and not frozen—it just wasn’t good. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I doubt I’ll return. The manager only offered a 50% discount for our troubles, but honestly, it should have been completely free since we didn’t enjoy anything. I didn’t come here expecting anything for free; I just wanted to have a nice time, which didn’t happen due to the poor food and service. We eat at Uncle Goyos quite frequently. The food is consistently good, but my goodness…the service is consistently terrible with one of the waitresses. We’ve had Dulce as our server a number of times. Her attentiveness leaves a lot to be desired. There’s been times that we don’t even see her between ordering and when we need our check. We usually have to wave someone else down to help us. The first couple of times we gave her the benefit of the doubt. Now, we seriously debate going somewhere else if she’s our waitress. Lastly, they will nickel and dime you here. We’ve been charged for extra ketchup before. Not to mention, the gratuity is already included in your check - that wouldn’t be an issue whatsoever if service was actually good.
