Uncle Julio's

I’ve been going to Uncle Julio’s for 37 years and I still Think they have the best chips and fajitas around. Super fresh always and the fire roasted salsa is perfectly made!!! Love the fresh smoked chicken and beef fajitas with the homemade tortillas. Enjoy it with a swirl frozen margarita and sangria combo. You won’t regret ever going here!

We ordered two bean and cheese burritos for the grandkids, steak fajitas and the combination chicken and steak Danita’s. Our drinks included a margarita flight and one margarita with reposado (floater). The kids burritos weee very tiny and both of our grandkids said it would normal them. Thankfully we were able to request extra tortillas and we recreated a bean and cheese burrito with what we received from our fajitas. The kids each ate an extra 3 so that will tell you how small the kids portion was. The margaritas were fair, both the worse but definitely not the best. The fajitas is where it really tanked for us. This was probably the lowest quality of steak I’ve ever eaten. It was just awful. Even the aesthetics of the meat was not pleasant. The salsa and chips were bland and lacked flav

We normally used DoorDash and had the food delivered from this location, happy with the food quality and choices. This time we decided to try the Ballston location and dine-in. We came for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was not busy. When they noticed us we were seated. We ordered the cheese dip for an appetizer. It was ok, they didn't give us any small plates so our table got a little messy. Instead of cleaning it up they just put our entrees on top of it. Our server wasn't very attentive so I had to take napkins off the other tables, plus ask for water refills consistently. Beef tacos- tasty and their tortillas seemed fresh Chicken/beef fajitas- meat was prepared well but the flour tortillas I was given were dry and chalky. This was a great place to eat. We celebrated a birthday and the prices were reasonable and the food was amazing. They even had Guacamole made fresh at your table side

Bad location this bone. Food wasn't good. Romaine lettuce was garbage smh. Tacos were subpar. We've been to several Mexican restaurants and this by far was worst. Service was horrible waiter never gave me and my husband utensils, we had to ask another waiter to assist. We asked for chilled white wine. It was room temperature. When we sent back waiter came back and said they were out. Such in inconvenience on date night. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone and we will not br returning.
