Uncle Rico's Cantina

Came here a few nights ago for dinner and this is hands down one of the best Hispanic restaurant I’ve ever been to. The burrito I got was the best one I’ve ever had in my life. Way better than Chipotle, Moe’s, or Qdoba, and the burrito was like twice the size of what you would get at any other restaurant. I got the regular burrito, not the big one mentioned on their menu so I can only imagine how humongous that one must be. My partner also loved her Cuban sandwich and said it was a 10/10. Refills were generous and staff were attentive. The salsa with the chips isn’t really spicy, but it’s not really that sweet either. I highly recommend visiting Uncle Rico’s Cantina. My two sons and daughter in laws took me here for my 57yr birthday. They’re food taste is amazing and I love their cocktails too. It’s been week ago, but I keep thinking about their food taste and keep craving for it. Service was great so we gave the sever big tips. I told the server this restaurant food was the best Mexican food I ever tasted in Virginia. I can tell the chef trying to cook the food with fresh and professionally. And the bartender is definitely professionally trained because taste is amazing. Alcohol and mix ratios are just perfect. I will definitely come back for sure.

Overall this was a very good experience. They have a ton of gluten free options if you need that (I do) and small vegetarian menu. The margaritas were strong and good, though I was surprised the cost of the drink was more than my meal. We went in the middle of the day, so service was quick and the food came out fast and hot.

I Love their food. In my entire life I have been to countless Mexican restaurants, & this place did not disappoint us at all! Our server was nice, she was little busy but kept checking up on us. Food was Amazing! I love the trio fajitas, chicken cooked well, shrimps were big and tasty. Almost all their dishes come with small shells which is different than other restaurants. Shell was little hard, but not bad. My friend took Carne Asada but it wasn't as great as other dishes, but still good. But our Most Favorite dish was Tres Leche! They make it So Delicious. The chef knows the proper density of the milk, how much it needs to stay soaked & not to be cheap with milk at all. Tres Leche is one of my favorite dessert, and many restaurants end up making it dry, but not this place. Tres Lec

This is a my first time eating here. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The waiter was nice and really knew the drink menu well which was a key factor in picking our drinks. We would have like a more kick in the don julio margarita but the looks were great! The mojito did not disappoint but it was also lacking the kick. We started with the nacho it was well layered and we could have gotten full off of it. The kids got chicken fingers and rice .. big pieces of chicken. The rice was “splinging” according to my niece 10’years old. Barria tacos could have used more flavor same with the fajita and ranchero bowl minus cheriso which the flavor may have been in . We would love the music and the chill environment. I’m not sure I would come again. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding. But who am
