absolutely amazing. i think this may be my favorite restaurant. the spicy tuna & food gras tataki is probably the best dish i’ve ever had. it was a perfect combination of every flavor, texture and temperature. both maki’s were also delicious and the pork ribs were so tender and flavorful; they were falling off the bone. duck confit gyoza and wagyu beef dumplings were also great. we had great service from kevin o! we really enjoyed having him as a server.

We had a fabulous experience with Ronald at Uni! The food was divine and service incredible. From the sake salmon sashimi and spicy tuna makimino (first picture) to the duck confit gyozo (second picture), the food was delectable and satisfied all aspects of our tastebuds! And I can’t help but rave about the lychee sorbet with the walnut crumble and poached pear - my goodness it was delicious. The restaurant was offering a limited menu because they’re remodeling but are re-opening next weekend and we can’t wait to come back!! If you want to enjoy a cozy, relaxed evening, do yourself a favor and make a reservation with Uni!! You won’t be disappointed ☺️

Best dinner of our trip! Doug and V were such good hosts, some of our favorite dishes, that we would not have ordered otherwise, were recommendations from them. Uni spoons were a delicious and a fun way to start our meal, the sake flight was a nice variety, absolutely every dish was delicious and artistically made. Definitely recommend! Sitting at the counter made the whole experience even more enjoyable- I feel like we got a whole lesson in cuisine! Thanks Doug, V and Uni for a wonderful meal with wonderful company.

Don't bother driving here, it’s the Back Bay. Inside is exactly the dark and trendy. The service was friendly but honestly a bit loose for the price point. Our server greeted us fast but he lacked that confident polish you usually see at high end spots. We were not initially sure if he was our waiter or just dropping off water. The staff dress code is also super casual and that made it hard to distinguish employees from customers. The sushi itself is fantastic though we had one weird miss with the kitchen apps. Skip the Omakase. The pricing is outrageous for Boston. Just order a la carte. What we ordered: • Massaman Brussels Sprouts (5/10): A total disappointment. They had peanuts, fried shallot, and basil but zero seasoning. They must have forgotten to salt the dish entirely. Once I ad

Was good, but honestly did not blow us out of the water, wouldn’t return. The nigiri was outstanding, and the Brussel sprouts were a favorite. The beets I would not recommend, came with a sort of curry that was just not appetizing. The dumplings we felt were too spicy, and the halibut portion was a tiny square whose flavor was a little bit too salty. Clearly people love it, so maybe it was just us, but wouldn’t go if we didn’t have the credit to help with the bill. Ambiance was great
