Uprise Bakery

I am completing all “100 things to do in Columbia, MO” book (by MU professor Steven Paul Sayers) and I make reels about them. So we stopped in for the cinema (in the book) not knowing about Uprise. We did not eat here because we did 12 places in one day and we were just stopping in but it LOOKED amazing so I gave food 5 stars.

What a great place! I came for a loaf of bread (we usually buy at Clovers but since I was already out, decided to come to the source). I was impressed with the atmosphere. Seating is ample, inside and out. Ordered the big tomato sandwich and it did not disappoint. The honey latte was delicious and not super sweet. Service was awesome! Take note, they don't accept payment via tap nor American Express.

Genuinely the worst customer service. Me and two friends stoped in to grab sandwiches after getting lattes at a cafe down the street. We order our food and sat down bc we planned to eat the sandwiches and drink our coffee there. After we had all ordered our food, sitting at the table one worker came over to us and rudely stated their “no outside food or drink” policy. We were taken aback from her nasty tone and responded “okay we are waiting for your food and we’ll go” she looked at us and walked away. Mind you we didn’t order our food to go as we weren’t aware of this policy. Our food is finally brought to us and we ask the worker who dropped off our food if we can have togo boxes, she says yes that she will bring some to us. Great atmosphere and the food is delicious. Get there early if you want a big option of bakery options, because they go fast. I ordered the pulled pork Cuban sandwich and the Sunny Oatmeal Cookie I included the menu pricing

Stopped after a meeting at the medical center and it was fantastic! Staff was welcoming and helpful for it being my first time in. I ordered the honey lavender latte, marinara and goat cheese with their amazing sourdough bread for appetizer. Half soup broccoli 🥦 cheddar cheese 🧀 and house 🥗 with a yummy mustard vinaigrette. It was delicious! My coworker got the Cuban sandwich and she loved it. Definitely will be back in the future
