Didn’t really appreciate having to wait in the line like I was at Disneyland for 20 minutes before I ordered. But we ordered and we went to get our drinks. They said they were out of what we ordered, which is exactly what I watched him. Tell the guy in front of me so why they’re letting people still order stuff that’s out of stock is questionable. We ordered burnt ends they were way too hard and old. We got the brisket sandwich it was OK but short on the brisket, the bread was really good though, sourdough roll. Cornbread was OK. Mac & cheese was not very good tasted like mush needed salt & pepper. The fried pickles were pretty good but their little side salad they gave you for free was garbage. Definitely a 3/5 and on the expensive side.

Urban Roots Brewery delivers a good dining experience that beautifully captures the essence of Southern comfort food. I recently had the pleasure of trying their ribs, greens, and mac and cheese, and I must say, each dish was delicious. The ribs are a standout feature – tender, smoky, and infused with a rich, flavorful dry rub. They practically fall off the bone and are best enjoyed with the house sauce, which adds an extra layer of depth. The collard greens were flavorful and well seasoned. They had a deliciously savory flavor that complemented the richness of the ribs. The mac and cheese was cool. I really enjoyed the cornbread too. The ambiance at Urban Roots BBQ is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who are happy to offer recommendations.

Service was quick and pleasant. I really liked the places it was spacious, breezy, easy going, not to loud, not to quiet, had plenty of seating, and friendly. We got the smoked tri tip and the pork ribs. The tri tip was really good, but the pork ribs, a bit dry and not really a typical smoked rib as it didn't have a nice pull from the bone, it was dry, and the flavor was not the best. The salad was okay, their version of Elote was decent, but definitely not great. Overall I do recommend a place to eat and hangout.

The place is large, has indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly for outside seating. I ordered to-go for lunch on a Thursday. The wait was a bit longer than I expected since they had just opened for the day. The self serve sauce bar makes me uneasy, from a hygiene perspective. Anyone can contaminate the whole batch should they open the lid and talk, spit or do whatever else they want to it. I know it’s easy to do it this way, but you never know with people these days. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich, came to about $60. I would go back for the food, however it is overpriced. The beer selection looks really good. There’s also a small wine selection as well.

Urban Roots is actually a pretty great place to stop and grab some bbq. They have quite a few options for food to choose from. However, they have a slew of beer and craft beer to choose from while you’re there. They have an upbeat and clean eating environment. You can even eat outside under a canvas roof. This location is tucked away, but if you can make it, it’s worth the visit.
