The portion sizes are way too small for the price, premium meats or not. We received raw chicken, we didn’t order chicken so it seems like it was a mistake on their part. They gave us someone else’s order but it wasn’t even cooked…. really wanted to like this place, flavor was good but we couldn’t eat the second portion as it was with the raw meat.

Hands down the best BBQ skewers in Jersey City! The flavor is super authentic — reminds me of real street-style skewers from Northeast China. The lamb is pure, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they don’t use any weird additives like other BBQ trucks. The chicken skewers are smoky, tender, and full of flavor. Fresh, clean, and cooked right in front of you — can’t beat that!

I’ve been coming to Urban Skewers in the evenings, and it’s easily one of the best food trucks around. They park at the same spot every day, so it’s super convenient to find them. The lamb skewers are incredible — juicy, flavorful, and cooked over real fire for that perfect smoky taste. The chicken and beef skewers are great too, always fresh and seasoned just right. You can tell the team really cares about quality. The setup is spotless, the service is friendly, and everything feels authentic. It’s become my go-to dinner spot whenever I’m craving real Chinese-style BBQ. Highly recommend stopping by — it’s the kind of food that keeps you coming back! Highly recommended.

Very tasty skewers. Came across them randomly on their opening day and they were still open pretty late. Skewers were super tasty. I ordered the beef (mild) and salt and pepper pork belly. The beef had great flavor with the spices and the meat itself was pretty tender. The pork belly was heavily peppered which I really liked, though it could have used a bit more salt. Overall, I am glad this food truck now exists to bring more diversity to the food options. My only complaints are that I wish the meat chunks were bigger and that I had a beer to eat them with.
