Valhalla Hillside Inn

This was a return trip for my husband and I, both times celebrating our anniversary. We love it here. Lori (owner) does an excellent job making sure her guests are comfortable and well taken care of. She is very personable and provides clean accommodations that are quality well-stocked and furnished. She also includes beverages and treats in the room! There are gorgeous views, patio access, and walking trails around the property. Lori went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and "at home." She even served us a homemade breakfast on a week day and brought us a hot desert in the evening. This place is special.

Lori is an amazing hostess! So friendly and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The fresh pastries for breakfast and warm cookies in the evening were a bonus. She gave us great suggestions on places to visit and things happening in the area. The house is beautiful, surrounded by trees, great porches and balconies to admire the views.

As a college student interning at the local hospital, I stayed here for all of summer 2022 and have nothing but positive remarks. Lori and her family were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful during my stay. The location is beautiful, as it's close enough to downtown Shawano but also remote enough as it's surrounded by the outdoors. If you're looking for a weekend get away or for an extended stay, this is the place to be 10/10. ||P.S, if you're lucky enough to run into Bear the family Lab, he is the goodest boy and will ask you to play fetch.

What a great place to stay! Family orientated relaxed atmosphere. In looking for places to stay I was a little caught off guard as is this a hotel or a bed and breakfast. It is neither as it is much better than either one. The location is perfect and it feels like I am staying with family. Lori made it wonderful. Check in was easy as I made sure I called the day of check in. Like the instructions posted. In arriving I felt right at home and it was nice and relaxing. I can’t wait to come back!

Lori is a 5 ⭐ host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The entire house was very clean, the the bedrooms were huge! Lori offered fresh fruit, coffee, and donuts every morning. She offer suggestions to local places to eat and points of interest. This was first stay, but won't my last!
