Vance H. Chavis Branch

Great little library! It’s just a few minutes off the highway so I stopped to do some work while on a road trip. It’s small, but has a ton of services. Strong wifi. Two small private study rooms, lots of adult and youth media. It’s nice, quiet, and cozy.

I have a great experience at this library. The staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is great. It's my go to spot.

Peaceful. Came in with the daughter of Hall of Fame boxing promoter Don King and the staff was great!

Vance Chavis conveniently located off Gate City Blvd near a bus stop making it easily accessible for Greensboro residents. Hosted mental health awareness fair and was able to set up in a space that had a projector for presentations. Staff was very helpful in finding space and ensuring participation for staff and library patrons. Grateful for the experience

Small Greensboro Public Library branch. Does have a children's section and limited selection overall compared to other branches. Has an exterior drop off bin for after hours. Staff friendly and helpful. The knock here is the location. Yes. It is in a tough part of the city. There was security here and they kept the door locked. The security dude asked questions upon unlocking the door and relocked the door upon me entering. I just did a return and left since I was in the area. I don't think this is all coincidence. No one else was there except staff. Not a branch to go out of your way for but convenient if you are in the area.
