Vassilaros Coffee Company

Went to a random Diner in CT and asked for a coffee, i was served this materpiece and was blown away. I had to ask the waitress what coffee they used and she wrote down the name for me. Most Diners have bad coffee but this place introduced me to one of the best coffees i have ever tasted.

This is the best coffee in NYC. After living in NYC for the last 34 years I can strongly say that this is the best coffee I have ever tasted. The flavor and the aroma are top notch. You get one sip, and it takes you back to the green mountains of Appalachian NY and a giddy feeling that you are somehow home. BTW: I get this coffee all the time at my best donut shop in Williamsburg Brooklyn "Peter Pan Donuts and Pastry shop"

I had the pleasure of drinking this coffee for the first time about 6 months ago at a local diner I frequent, ever since my first cup I have been hopelessly addicted to this stuff. I've tried many other brands such as McDonalds, Peets, Dunkin, Starbucks, Folgers, Maxwell House, Green Mountain, and some others but none of them can possibly stack up to Vassilaros. This is the only coffee that has not only met my standard, it has exceeded it. It is the only coffee brand that I can drink straight black. In conclusion, I insist you try this coffee at least once. I can't imagine someone regretting it.

Called the company to ask if their vanilla flavored coffee was gluten free. I spoke with a wonderful woman named Margaret who took the time to contact the supplier they buy their flavoring from to find out. Margaret called me back and confirmed that both the French vanilla and hazelnut flavored coffees are gluten free! THANK YOU Margaret for being so helpful. Amazing customer service! And delicious coffee too!!!

V&S is equal if not better than Intelligentsia, Blue Bottle and others, yet unfortunately most don’t even know about this old company. Amazing decaf as well, this coffee is soothing and great black, with some jazz accompaniment. Over 100 years old it is literally NYC culture in every glass.
