Venice Pizzeria

Ordered half a hot sausage hoagie and they gave me this monstrosity of a sandwich. There is about 1/3 of a sausage (maybe) sliced thin into five 1/8” inch piece and smashed flat across the bun and covered in sauce. I actually thought there wasn’t any sausage on it all when I first bit into it.

Best pizza in all of pittsburgh, and thats a FACT. Every aspect of their pizza is just absolutely perfect, everytime we want pizza this is where we order from, the delivery drivers are always so friendly!

This place is seriously underrated. I work next to them and gave them a try one day and I’ve been recommending them ever since! They are quick, friendly and fast. The pizza is seriously so good overall, from the crust to the sauce!!!!

EDIT: I want to update this just to spread the word. Get the Pierogie Pizza, add Ranch sauce (in addition to the white), add bacon, add shrimp; it will blow your mind. Just...heaven. It is Pittsburgh in a pizza. EDIT 2: I decided to try the Pepperoni and Cheese rolls, just to do something different. Holy mother of god. I need someone to hold me while I cry and reevaluate my life, these are amazing. Not good cold or reheated though, so only get what you can eat in one sitting. Excellent pizza, basta, and hoagies, BEST Pierogie pizza in Pittsburgh, hands down. If you are a 'burgher, and want something far more "Pittsburgh" than Primanti's I suggest getting their Pierogie pizza (though I get it with no onions and add bacon). The order was ready very quickly for takeout and the staff was awesome -- very friendly and pleasant! The meatball pizza was superior to the pepperoni pizza in my opinion as the pepperoni was a bit thin and flimsy for my taste but the meatball topping was great. We also noticed for the pepperoni pizza that the toppings would fall off until the pizza cooled down a bit -- this is actually rather normal for some places I have noticed, so maybe wait a few minutes before serving. The biggest strength of this pizza in my opinion is the robust and hearty sauce -- it had a nice flavor that complemented the pizza very well while also not too abundant to take over the pizza. We also got an Italian sandwich, fried zucchini strips, and a gyro that were very good.
