We come to this Cantonese restaurant often—it has a lot of character and feels like a long-established spot with very refined dishes. My favorite is their claypot rice: the crispy rice at the bottom is fragrant, the seasoning is authentic, and it’s rich without being greasy. This time we also ordered a seafood vermicelli claypot, which was impressive. The satay sauce was aromatic, and the seafood was cooked perfectly—very tender. I’m also a big fan of their fig and pork soup, served bubbling hot in a clay pot. It’s deeply comforting and clearly a slow-simmered traditional soup. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a satisfying Cantonese meal.
I first came to Victoria's seafood some 20 years ago when I moved to Boston and started my career. 20 years later. This place is still one of my favorite for its authentic Chinese food, specifically Cantonese food. It has a few hidden items on the menu that you have to order a day before when you make your reservation. Otherwise, they don't really have enough time to make it for you. That which means, these things are not pre-made, stuck in the freezer and microwaved upon being ordered. The taste is great. The crew is friendly and I will say don't pick a weekend night to come over because there are so so many people on the waiting list during dinner hours. They open late after midnight though. They have some very student-friendly, affordable menu items to explore. The quality of these spe
Ordered the silver fish with salt and pepper for takeout. It was much better than we expected. Perfectly crispy and addictive to eat. Did not even get soggy on the way home.
I’ve dined at Victoria Seafood nearly 10 times because the food is undeniably delicious and most of the staff are warm, attentive, and truly wonderful. I’ve built great rapport with several of them. That’s why it’s so disappointing that one particular “creature” consistently ruins the entire experience: an elderly man who appears to be either the manager or the owner. His behavior has been nothing short of arrogant, demeaning, and shockingly unprofessional. Here are just a few examples: 1. “NOT MY JOB!” — Total Refusal to Help a Waiting Customer During a busy lunch, a customer politely asked if he could please help bring the tea, as the table had been waiting for quite some time. A reasonable and respectful request. His response? He raised his voice and snapped, “NOT MY JOB!”, then stood
Food is substandard. Dry fried beef chow foon has too much bean sprouts and is too light on the flavor. Sizzling beef tastes alright but lacks any feature that tells me to come back again. The chicken is very dry. Service is standard without anything to note. The atmosphere is also what a typical Chinese seafood restaurant felt like without any distinctive feature. Every aspect of this restaurant is like any other Chinese seafood restaurant, hence an average rating.
