Village Buzz Cafe

People go to restaurants to feel cared for — to enjoy a relaxing hour and a good meal, especially when spending $60 for breakfast for two. Unfortunately, the owner of this otherwise charming little diner doesn’t seem to understand that. Even though she had two young helpers, she seemed completely overwhelmed and disconnected. She didn’t greet a single customer with eye contact or a smile, and the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. It was honestly sad to see, especially in such a cute place with potential. The food itself was decent, and it was understandably busy for a Sunday morning, but hospitality was nowhere to be found. After over 40 years in customer service, I would never dream of treating my clients the way we were treated today. What’s worse — I had been here a few years ago

Adorable little breakfast spot with great food and friendly staff! I got the country skillet with rye toast. Everything is made to order right in front of you. The food was excellent quality especially for the price. There’s a self-serve hot coffee bar which is nice too. Would definitely recommend!

Very cute place, my brunch was delicious. I asked for hot chocolate, it took forever to make and they were not busy. I received my food before my drink, it tasted like hot chocolate and coffee 🤮 I can never understand why they think they can run hot water through a coffee machine and have it taste like hot chocolate. I told him, he removed it from the table but never asked if I wanted anything else. I sat with nothing 🤔 Also I always check my ketchup before using it, I unscrewed the top 🤮🤮 it had hard black crust around the rim, I took a napkin to wipe it off, it was caked on, it wouldn't come off. 🙄 please that's basic hygiene.

Stopped by here with my family on a quick trip in Monroe. The food was amazing, the service was great, and it had such a cozy vibe. There's parking along the side of the building and was not crowded when we went at 10am on a weekday. We got two of their hungry mans, the challah French toast, and the hash skillet. They were all amazing. My mom especially loved how soft but not soggy the French toast was. Would highly recommend eating here!

Had a relaxing Sunday morning with the hubby and dog. Sat outside with our tea and breakfast. Food was great, cooked as requested and doggy even got a treat. Felt very happy being there.
