Village Creamery and Grill

My husband and I cycled down from Fredericksburg, then he rode back to get the car and return to Millersburg while I waited and read my book. We were later than we'd planned, so I was still sitting out front alone at closing time (7:00), in the near-dark. Without asking, I saw that they were keeping the shop open and the lights on as long as they could. A couple came to get carry-out, and stayed with me until Barry got there. What a nice place with good people! The ice cream was also wonderful, but the people made it sweeter.

We had the smash burgers & they were very good. We were not disappointed!! Menu options for food is limited, but there is probably a reason. If you are a vegetarian, you could get a grilled cheese & fries. We each got a single smash burger with our choice of cheese & they were good sized & delicious. Ordered them with a side of fries that was a portion for two. Fries were Hot & Fresh, just how they should be. Also had the mint chocolate chip 16oz. Shake. It was great, minty with small pieces of chocolate, nice & thick but drinkable through a straw. Had to wait a few minutes for food but that should be expected for hot fresh cooked, made to order burger & fries. Nice area under cover to enjoy your meal. Really great place overall. I usually get the single smash burger with everything on it besides bacon and it’s always made incredibly well. One of my favorite places to go grab a burger. Service is always great too. Food made quickly, cooked well, really friendly/kind, etc. The buns they use are especially good. Overall highly recommend this place if you looking for some great food or ice cream

Patty melt was delicious, I am a dedicated patty melt consumer I will specify Swiss cheese only next time. The bread was grilled to perfection. Then the vanilla shake- boring- no way it was perfectly sweet and just right on thickness.
