Village Grill

I ordered through DoorDash; however, the name of the restaurant is incorrect on the app. It is listed as “Greek Six.” Let’s start with the appearance of the place. The restaurant was very outdated, with old tables and furniture, and the bathroom was dirty. As for the food, it was extremely cold, and the chicken souvlaki sandwich I ordered did not include fries. The food had no flavor, no taste and very nasty. Next, the waiter was extremely rude and unprofessional. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, she spoke to me in a dismissive and unfriendly manner. She abruptly stated, “The buy one get one free DoorDash deal is to go,” without explanation or courtesy. There was no greeting, no attempt to assist, and no offer to let me dine in. Her tone and behavior made me feel unwelcome

I’m a weekly regular for many years. Atmosphere’s authentic to the food. Staff is the nicest. Love Angela. She’s the best. Food: Having some bean soup right now. Flavor is on point and the aroma is on another level. I came all the way from Long Island for the food and experience. It warms my heart and fills my stomach coming here. I’ll definitely be back with another review.

8/27 Foods are delicious. Service is good. My son likes the fish wrap a lot. My chicken thighs w tomato sauce is good too. Come today 8/30 for a lunch. Ice coffee and onion rings are good. However the pita bread for the beef and pork are a bit over burnt so they were bitter. Too much sauce for the pork gyro.

The Village Grill is nice cozy little restaurant in Forest Hills, N.Y. They feature Mediterranean food which is absolutely delicious! We have tried many of the dishes and have never been disappointed! The staff is courteous and hard working! The service is always excellent! We have been frequenting the Village Grill for 3 years now and will continue to visit for the foreseeable future!

We ordered dinner on UberEats. Got the chicken gyro sandwiches, two soups, and salad. The soups were good, and salad was fine. But the gyro & tzatziki we ordered were truly disgusting. The chicken had 1/4" of fat pretty much on every piece, it did not look or taste fresh, the sauce had a sour taste, the bread used is a really bad choice (it's way too thick, like a piece of bread in giant tortilla size, and was mostly charred / blackened). I did see the reviews beforehand and should have known better, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. My partner and I both felt sick the night we got dinner, and I've been sick this morning too.
