Vista Grande Library

The library is clean and the books are put away, but it's sort of a podunk small town library. Nothing's up to date or culturally relevant. There's no events, displays, seminars or flyers for black history month There are seeds, but if you're ready for planting there are no seeds for the current month.. they really don't have anything prepared for what's going on now.

(This experience happened to my friend who has autism. I am writing this review on their behalf) I never leave reviews. However the librarian working today 2/4 by herself around noon was NOT HAPPY. I needed to recheck 2 books I had. Without skipping a beat she says “these books aren’t from this library”. She repeated to me that they weren’t from this library like 2 or 3 times before she actually took them to do anything. I think she thought I was going to take them back and go to the other libraries or something if she said it enough times. I said Yes I know. I requested them here and this location is where I checked them out. Mind you I’ve rechecked them out at this location before. I explain this to her and she says “well I don’t know if it’ll pop up for me.” And rudely yes rudely expl

I absolutely LOVE this library. It has an amazing selection of books and even games in the teen area. I’ve even seen great books in the kids area in which my younger brother absolutely LOVES to read. Highly suggest going to this library. The staff is amazing as well.

The olderr lady Dina was very rude. She spoke in a tone not need and refused to answer my questions talking over me. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but it was inappropriate of her at her big age. If you can’t control yourself learn to walk away. I can’t stress enough how unwelcoming she is. Next time try being nice or just walking away. I love the library and it sucks that’s what I have to deal with. Do better I’m a child and you’re a grown grown adult. Have a blessed day Dina.

I was very disappointed that for the entire month of June they did not have a Pride display. When I asked I received several excuses as to why there was not a Pride display during Pride month. My other interactions with staff have mostly been pleasent and staff has been helpful.
