Vivi’s Cakes and Candy

My wife and I went here recently on a whim while wandering through the mall. My wife decided to wander in due to the atmosphere and it was quite cute. We originally just wanted to look around but Billy offered us a huge slice of cake for free. Fantastic draw. It was by far the greatest piece of cake to have ever entered my mouth. It was sweet but not too sweet. My wife and I quite literally talked about that cake for the rest of the day. We ended up buying two cupcakes - which were also amazing - a salted caramel cupcake and a cookies and cream. Fantastic. One could even say divine. I promise you, on everything I believe, this place is worth the calories. Great prices too. Cutest hidden gem in the downtown mall. Really pretty atmosphere, friendly service, and the hand stamped bag at checkout added such a great personal touch. The carrot cake is by far my favorite but the cookie dough frosting was also amazing. Would definitely recommend stopping by to get a little sweet treat!

I feel like after reading all of the amazing reviews that I did, when I ordered the cake from here that my cake and cupcake fell short in so many way. The cake itself was dry and the "block O" that I had requested looked like it had been haphazardly put on in a rush that morning, as well as the happy birthday writing. The flavor of the cake was bland, dry and overall one of the worst I've ever had. The cupcakes were burnt on the bottoms and didn't even fill the cupcakes filler cup. There was more frosting than cupcake and when I say this, please refer to the photo. We had asked for Buckeye cupcakes and I'm not even sure where this went wrong. If I could give more than five stars I would! This was one of very few bakeries that would accommodate the dietary requirements and shape/decor of the wedding cake we wanted (gluten/dairy free + heart shaped). The guy I talked to when ordering the cake on the phone was super helpful, and made sure the details of what we wanted were correct. The cake came out perfect, and tasted absolutely amazing! This place is truly a hidden gem ✨ 10/10 would highly recommend! Don’t waste time reading reviews of other bakeries, you can’t go wrong with Vivi’s! ✨

Billy is a fabulous baker and gem of a person, and we are so glad we had him provide our wedding cake and cupcakes! From the start, my husband and I knew we wanted to have cupcakes for our guests and small cake for just the two of us, which not all bakers provide. Billy does, however, and also has a wide variety of flavors to choose from. We absolutely loved our tasting, and it was so hard to narrow down just a handful of flavors because everything was so delicious! Throughout the planning process, Billy was patient and very helpful with his suggestions. We ended up adding a flavor and going with mini cupcakes at his recommendation, which were both a hit at our event and also helped us save money.
