Driving into Starbucks this morning, my dog hit the button and completely opened his window and jumped out...his leash was attached to the seat so he was hanging from the side of the door. I heard the thump on the door and tried to stop. As I stopped, 2 Ormond Lifeguards were already jumping out of their truck, having seen him dangling and they were running to save his small life. I get tears in my eyes because I didn't even catch names, but they were there to save little Simmy Bear. Not even 7:45 in the morning and they already saved a life. We drove all the way from California across country and my little pups never did anything like this. Excessively pusillanimous. An adult male swimmer up to his waist in salt water with personal floatation is low risk. No whistles necessary. By doing so you desensitize people. Your whistles may be ineffective when you need them most. I thought I was under shark attack. Don't dilute your authority. We might need it sometime.

Bathrooms and plenty of parking (across the street). If you are a tourist, save $20 and go a few blocks south to Andy Romano Park for free parking.

Thanks to the lifeguards, and Lions club for providing the handicap wheel chairs. Lifeguards were very helpful.
