Voodoo Bayou

Voodoo Bayou is a great choice for anyone looking for some Cajun/Creole style food while on Las Olas blvd. They have a wide selection of choices, including gumbo, etuofee, jambalaya, fish, etc. I had the gumbo which was awesome! It consisted of shrimp, orca, chicken, and andouille sausage. The shrimp this place has are HUGE! Very filling and flavorful. The restaurant has a very cool ambiance to it- remind me as if I were right in the French Quarter; velvet seats, voodoo dolls, neon, liquor shelf’s, fancy balconies, etc. Service was quick and efficient. Would definitely go back!

My partner and I checked out the Las Olas location of Voodoo Bayou today. We’ve been to the West Palm Beach location a few years ago, but we had never been to the Fort Lauderdale (Las Olas) spot until now. The restaurant’s décor is dark, sultry, and sexy. We sat at the bar, and our server, Tony, was very nice and accommodating. We ordered from the great happy hour menu. I had the Two Smoked Old Fashioned ($8.99) — yummy! My partner ordered the French 75 (not on the happy hour menu). For bar bites, we ordered the Shakey’s gator tail, cornbread, pear & pecan salad (lunch portion), and six hickory-smoked wings ($1.30 each). Voodoo Bayou was an absolute vibe from start to finish! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of energy without feeling overwhelming — perfect for a date night or dinner with friends and family. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was AMAZING. The chicken and waffles were perfectly cooked, crispy, flavorful, and balanced with just the right sweetness. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and you could really tell the quality was there. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor. The drinks were on point too well-crafted, refreshing, and beautifully presented. You can tell the bar staff knows what they’re doing. Came here Monday night and absolutely loved it. I’m all about a good vibe, and this place nailed it. The atmosphere and décor are super cool and really set the mood. The food was great and totally enjoyable. The host at the door was amazing — friendly, welcoming, and informative. Our server was great too. Overall, such a good experience all around. Definitely would come back!

Great food, great location and a cool venue make this a place to try! They have a New Orleans themed menu with all the classics that you would hope to find. The fried chicken was tasty, the cornbread was delicious and the beignets were a great way to top off the meal! They also have a kids menu and our daughters enjoyed their food as well. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. The venue is really well themed and has both indoor and outdoor seating.
