Had a great experience at Wabi Nori in Flushing. From the service to the food and drinks and even the atmosphere- everything was amazing! The host Sonny was warm and welcoming, Amy our waitress was really great and made wonderful recommendations and we even got to meet Chef Sam, who was a delight to chat to and entertaining to watch while he served people at the omakase bar. The vibe was perfect, too. Music wasn't too loud and the decor really helped in setting the mood. Definitely a place I'd come back to for dinner or even a drink at the bar - highly recommend to anyone looking for a cool spot in Flushing!
While visiting New York and staying in Corona, Queens my wife’s hometown we were craving some delicious sushi and discovered Kaizen. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance, décor, and most importantly the people immediately set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. We started with cocktails, and every one was a hit. The Kaizen Lychee-tini and Shiranami Paloma were smooth and perfectly balanced, and the Tokyo Mule was outstanding especially for someone like me who loves ginger. These handcrafted cocktails did not disappoint. The service was truly top-notch. Thiha made excellent recommendations, we began with five different hand rolls each one showcasing incredibly fresh, high-quality fish. We also enjoyed the miso blackened cod and the karaage Japanese fried chicken with a spi
Stopped by here briefly right when they opened and sat at the bar. It is so cute inside and plenty of photo ops. Friendly bartender and super welcoming. We ordered a couple cocktails - the Spicy Matcha Margarita and I believe it was The Kaizen cocktail. Both were very good and then we had ordered a few handrolls, the hotate, botan ebi and the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. All of them were absolutely delicious and the Happy Hour here is definitely worth it. We plan on coming back to try more of their menu.
Truthfully, not bad at all if you're in Flushing & cannot venture off to the city. I ate here in October & it was pretty good. It wasn't Michelin level, grant it, but does that mean it's not worthy? Drinks were good too.
Exquisite 🥇🥇 You get WOWED first by the venue as you walk in. A hint of elegance & simplicity while evoking a sense of beauty. Feels like a midtown vibe. A great spot for a romantic date or rendezvous 😊. Omakase refers to “a meal consisting of dishes selected by the chef.” The 7 course Omakase was delicious. Silky slivers of fish working its magic with each bite.
