Waffle House

I was always happy here, especially at the one close to my job. It’s clean, staff are friendly and efficient and the food is good and decently-priced. Until 2 nights ago. I find the night time atmosphere, service, and food are totally different. One night I was waited on then the waitress left, never said a word. Another girl sat my plate in front of me and walked off. I ordered a steak, not big but usually delicious and so tender, as I ask for medium rare. No sides, just the meat. It came and was hard and dried up. I said something to the waitress but she just walked off and wouldn’t come back. Only 4 customers, both already eating (and left before me), and 1 waitress, 1 cook. She finally came my direction and I asked for my waitress, finding she had already gone home. I also

I stopped here (Nov 1, 2024, 0530 am) after not being able to dine at Broad Street Restaurant. This place served me but was literally trashed, with dirty tables and food left on others. I walked in and did not see a single worker, as they were in the back talking. Finally, a worker came out, cleaned my table, and took my order. My food came out, and it was clear the cook's grill was also nasty, with black spots on my hash browns and eggs. I know it was Halloween, but please clean as you go. When I finished my food, there were still dirty dishes on several tables despite the worker passing them several times. The District Rep has his/her work cut out as this restaurant and another on Broad are clearly doing their own thing despite corporate expectations. v/r, Dr. King

I hadn't eaten at a waffle house in 8 years (once I stopped clubbing). Pulled in after 1am due to a heavy rain storm. I got the sausage bowl with onions and gravy. BTW, I love pepper! It was piping hot and filling. My server was Kea. She was amazing.

This place will not greet you or acknowledge you at all and allow you to sit down at a table for 10 minutes with no menu or anything when there is hardly any customers and 10 employees. This place is a joke. Don't ever come here. They will just act like you don't exist.
