Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux - Covington Restaurant

Against my better judgment, I stopped here because I was craving a seafood platter. That was my first mistake. The platter came with four shrimp that looked like they had fought for their lives in a fryer and lost. The hush puppies were so burnt and overcooked they could’ve doubled as charcoal. The fish was the only semi-decent thing on the plate, but even that wasn’t the golden, crispy brown you expect from good fried seafood. If I had to name this platter, I’d call it “The Overcooked Grease Trap.” Definitely not the seafood experience I was hoping for. Save your money and your taste buds.

Ordered out. I will never end go there again. The food was terrible. This is what I received as a filet fish platter. I have had food from Hammond walkons and was fresh and delicious. Covington was a disappointment.

We had a great experience. Family met to watch a game on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of options to watch multiple games with great views from multiple angles. We enjoyed everything we ate and our waiters was attentive and kind. We were there 3 1/2 hours and at no time did we feel rushed to leave.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a great experience here! I was sitting in the dining room and my server, Kaile, was absolutely amazing. Even though I was dining alone, I never felt that way — she made me feel completely welcome. The GM, Ryan, even stopped by for a chat, and we ended up talking sports, which was a nice touch! I ordered the shrimp po’ boy for a quick lunch, and it totally impressed me — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I’ll definitely be back soon to try the cocktails when I’m not working!

Alaina was our waitress. She was very friendly and attentive! She kept a smile on her face the whole time even when it was busy. I will definitely be back.
