Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux - Tuscaloosa Restaurant

First time visiting this place. Very nice sports bar. Clean, Service was quick and friendly. I like how they play multiple sports and a lot of T.Vs. The drafts are plentiful and with various flavors. The food was very good. I will diff visit this place when im back in town.

Came in today with my fiancé and asked for a server application before we sat down. While we were eating I filled it out and attached my three page résumé that clearly lists my work history and skills. After our appetizers I asked our server where I should return it and she said she could bring it to management. A few minutes later the service manager, Latia Horton, walked up to my table, introduced herself, and immediately snapped “you need to finish this application. you left skills and experiences blank.” I responded in a flat tone, obviously annoyed with her approach, something like “so you want me to put what’s on this piece of paper.. onto this piece of paper?” to point out the absurdity of her behavior over something so mundane and fixable. This will be my go to when traveling for work. I met some amazing bartenders Lauren(LoLo) and Leah(LeLe)! They were very friendly w/ great recommendations, the entire staff was very friendly. I ordered a catfish poboy and it was very tasty. The entire experience from the hostess to the bar to surrounding staff a great team. See you all very soon.😁 I came back the next night and thanks to Kiarra and Justin. Definitely pleased with the service, Everyone is great!

I had the catfish Orleans for the 2nd time. My wife had the hickory BBQ burger. Both were amazing! Great service to back it up!

Third visit to Walk-on’s. I have to say, I didn’t love the first two visits and didn’t come back for several years. My son wanted to come here and I agreed, deciding I would try something different. And I’m glad we did!! Third time was the charm!! (Could also be that it has been a couple of years since the first two visits - maybe something changed??) Anyway, we all 4 had different meals and we all 4 loved what we ordered! Yay! Our table had cajundillas, fried fish platter, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and a buffalo chicken wrap. I will say that they were heavy on the Buffalo sauce on the wrap - to the point it ran down my hands - and next time I’ll ask for less sauce, but it was still very delicious - just messy! This visit gets them a 5 star rating!
