Customer Reviews
Burgers are ok but insanely overpriced. We went in for the $8 Burger Box being currently advertised because that is actually reasonable. But of course this location refused to honor it even though I showed them the promotion was the current banner for their own location page on the website literally while we were standing at the counter! The bored kid at the register replied "Yeah, we get a lot of complaints about that." No doubt - bait and switch tactics do tend to make customers angry. So instead of $8 I got charged $19 for an average burger, a sad little pile of luke-warm tots and a medium drink. I won't be back. There's a 5 Guys less than a mile away - they're less expensive and the food quality is substantially better.
While I enjoyed the burgers, fries and great atmosphere, the tipping structure felt a bit steep. It was uncomfortable to be prompted with 15%, 18%, and 20% options. This was compounded by an unexpected $0.60 charge for hot sauce after my payment, which felt like an unnecessary add-on. I believe a 10% tipping cap would be more reasonable and transparent.
Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger, bacon cheese fries, and a brownie shake on DoorDash. I had never had Wayback before and it was fine. The burger was very average, the fries were ok, the cheese sauce was a bit watery and flavorless and the bacon didn’t add much. I would have preferred just regular fries. The shake was also fine, though there weren’t any brownie bits like i was expecting. It was basically just a chocolate shake with a singular small brownie in it. Was DEFINITELY not worth the DoorDash price, but in store I would be more forgiving.
Such a hidden gem. I wish this place was more popular, their burgers are amazing!! Best burgers I’ve had from Danbury. Great variety of sides and drinks plus the milkshakes are fantastic. If you’re new to the restaurant, I highly recommend the Cajun burgers and the red velvet shake.
We ordered delivery here to try them for the first time. Better than expected. It was easy ordering online. You can customize your burger with a bunch of free toppings or upgrade options like bacon or another burger.. Lots of fried sides available to go along with your order. They even have desserts, including milkshakes. The burgers were really good. I added jalapeño, chipotle, mayo, and onions to mine. I especially like how they layered the jalapeño at the bottom and other condiments at the top. It holds the extras in place instead of falling out. They even put the bacon in between both burgers which is a great idea. I will definitely be ordering here again or going into the store.
