Wayback Burgers

Ordered the classic cheeseburger which comes with two patties and a side of cheese curds. The curds were almost $6 and they only give you a few with your order. Burger was also small and cost $10. Food wasn’t bad, but definitely not worth the price for what you get. Staff was friendly which is why I gave two stars instead of one.

You know those memes about the millennial "Two guys and a crazy idea" burger joints? This is EXACTLY that. Went in there with some family, 2 of us ordered cheese curds: Me & my Brother. I ordered a large, he ordered a regular. There were maybe 2 or 3 "extra" curds on my portion. I looked at the server shocked and for the first time in my life I went up to the counter of a restaurant to complain. They told me "thats just how it is" and did nothing else. The atmosphere is a bit of an eyesore but I dont like modernesque looks anyway. The burger itself was meh. Not worth getting shorted on curds. You could easily make the burger at home and have as many curds as you want. The curds (all 6 of them) tasted average, something you could get at Dairy Queen or Buffalo Wild Wings. Don't g

Rachel at the front is absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. Her customer service is truly outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. When she brought us our food, we were so happy because our burgers and chili cheese fries looked delicious, and she was still just as cheerful and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Wayback Burgers truly needs more people like Rachel! Highly recommend!

Orders are always prepared correctly. They frequently offer specials with fair prices. Quality of food is outstanding. Good portion sizes. I think you'd probably pay more at a fast food place and get far lower quality. (I don't consider Wayback a "fast food" place, but neither is it exactly a restaurant.)

Way back in Davis is super well managed and the manager, Rachel, is fantastic. She explained all the menu options at the Wayback Burger in Davis. Her enthusiasm and professionalism were exemplary. The burgers are indeed super delicious. My wife and I will be lifelong customers and recommend Wayback to all our friends.
