Wayback Burgers

For quick stop burger chain, I have to say I enjoyed my visit. This was the first time I've seen one and timing was perfect. The burger itself had a great texture, not rubbery like most fast food burgers. Toppings were fresh and well proportioned. The bun was just right. Service was friendly, order was accurate and they brought my order to the table. I tried their tots as a side, not sure I would get them again. They weren't bad, but they had a bit of a doughy flavor to them. On the positive side they were hot and crispy, just not my preference.

When Wayback Burgers first opened their Statesboro location, the reviews were mixed so I waited to give it a try. The menu on the first visit was a little confusing, but now I know you can build a burger or choose an item from the menu. My son and I both had the Cheeeesy with fries, and the size was generous. It was delicious but I’ll probably order a single patty burger box next time. (We could have shared the Cheeeesy) Service was great, tables were clean, and the condiments were stocked.

The burgers here are the only thing that really brings me here. They’re good, especially for something on the side of town. However, the inside of the restaurant lacks anything that makes you want to stay. Scarlett took my order but halfway through decided to stop taking it and respond to a group text on her phone. I appreciated her attempt to laugh it off with a “sorry I’m just bad at multitasking.” But of course I then had to restate my order. Yes Scarlett, you’re right. The staff seem distracted and the seating is cramped. Good food, just bad atmosphere.

Excellent burgers, cooked to perfection. Tater tots and fries are very expensive and a very large portion, enough for a couple people... share the French fries and save $4.99

Absolutely the best burger in Statesboro Georgia! Dining room lacks comfort, hard chairs and is very small area. I think you have way underbuilt in size. There appears be be a space available adjoining you..... Could not access the $8.95 combo deal on my app or online website..... disappointing. I ordered the customized double burger on app, was ready and hot when I arrived. Much better burger taste, quality and price than the other "new burger guy" .
