We Shuckin Southern Eatery Pines (Shuckin and Jivin)

I ordered four meals worth $100.00 plus. 1st order Conch and Fries 2nd order Conch, Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese and a size of Yams 3rd Order Fried chicken, Red Beans and Collard Greens. 1- 3 shrimp and Fries kids meal 2- orders of Conch Fritters 1- Red Velvet Pound cake 3 - Lemonades First when we walked in the restaurant we wasn’t sure anyone was there because no one was at the front, waiting a few and a young man came from one side to another scratching his head I asked are you a cook? He said yes I said I hope you wash your hands before you start cooking. He just nodded! The lady that took my order was very nice and patient. Tables were not tidy. In fact a little sticky. Meat made fresh so the fish amd chicken was hot. Green beans almost over on the cook. Fish was salty. Rice sis not look like dirty/Cajun rice it was just rice. Sweet potatoes were good also heavily sugar. And the juice was so sweet we had to wait for the ice to melt to try and drink it. It is ssssswwwweeeeetttt. Boy it was high blood pressure and sugar in a single dish.. it was ok. If we are near we will try again. Not making a special stop like we did this time. My aunt told me years ago. If the bathroom isn't clean neither is the kitchen. The ladies bathroom could use some tidying up. So I was disappointed 😞.

My first time here was a great experience. The food was pretty good overall—the chicken was well-seasoned, and the macaroni was on point. While the string beans were a bit salty, they were still good. I especially liked that the candied yams weren't overwhelmingly sweet. I was a little disappointed they were out of peach cobbler and sweet potato pie, but I'll definitely be back to try more.

One of my fav’s for comfort / soul food ….hear me out. I’m reading the reviews and I don’t know if people maybe went on an off day or maybe there was a different cook idk , but they have never missed with me….the food is consistently good . My complaint are the hours on Sundays etc, and the wait time , but other than that I feel like it’s a hidden gem and I’m not on socials so I’m not being persuaded lol it’s genuinely good food !
