West Indies Grocery,Warren St,Hudson N.Y. If your palette craves Jamaican home cooking,see Ms. Paula,I've been buying rice and peas with sautéed cabbage,curry chicken and oxtail. Also beef Pattie or vegetable pattie for the last 15 years. You won't be disappointed with Ms.Paula home cooking. The grocery carry Jamaican bread,ginger beer and jerk seasoning as well as other item.
Great vibe, super friendly owner. Perfect beef patty. $4 but higher than I'd like but delivered New really want a jerk but just had straight chicken and was top notch
Food tasted like leftovers and their specialty beef patties are just frozen beef patties you can buy at shop rite for half the price. Don’t be fooled by the near perfect score, when you walk in it looks like they stopped doing business a decade ago.
Paulette is such a character! Delicious oxtail stew and meat patties. We’ll definitely be back!
What’s makes this place special is homemade real food. A bit pricier than store bought patties but the real deal.
