West New York Public Library

Good Library. I finally went in to get my Library card, it wasn’t busy at all and the Lady there was friendly and helped me register very quickly and gave me all the information I needed to know. The library is dated but to my surprise they had a good selection of books. Apparently with the WNY Card you can go to other Libraries like North Bergen, Weehawken. I borrowed 2 books that had been on my wishlist, happy to have found them there 📚

I donate my book to the library, first author in West New York. The lady was sweet and the workers their always help out, I don't why people gave this a bad review.

I recently visited this library and to be honest, it's very different from most of the ones I've visited in the US. The staff were not welcoming. They made me feel like a total stranger. I was very uncomfortable the whole time there. I did mention to them that I had come from California, and was there to explore the library. But they kept mentioning to me about free books. I wasn't there for any free book!!!! I saw that there weren't much collections when compared to other libraries that I've visited.

Book selection leaves much to be desired. Not one passionate 'librarian' in sight. What happened to the love of reading? The love of turning an ACTUAL page, not just swiping left on a touch screen? On a good note, my son really enjoys getting books to read and he loves the coloring pages offered in the children's area. He is an avid reader (like his mama) so we get quite a few books. You are allowed 10 books at a time which is great.

The library is not a large one but I got what I need every time I visited. PCs are available all the time and the speed of the web connection is pretty decent. There is really no down time for the Internet. WiFi offers two accounts so you can choose one of them for my cell phone, sometimes my laptop use. It does not cost me anything.
