Whataburger

Gross. Ordered a burger with tomatoes and ketchup. Burger was dry as the desert. Bun burnt on one side. Tomatoes slices were literally shriveled. Onion rings over cooked in old grease. Just nasty! Then we found out employees were fighting inside the restaurant just before we got there and were sent home. What a nice place said no one ever! Last time there. Terrible food and service. Do NOT recommend.

First time eating at Whataburger. We were passing through. I will have to say this was not it. I got their limited time big ranch wrap, and I added buffalo sauce to my wrap on top of the ranch! Now you would think big ranch wrap comes with ranch. they decided to take off the ranch and just put a tiny dollop of hot sauce. When I let the guy know he had to double check to see if I ordered it and was confused when I said they never put the ranch on my meal that comes with the ranch. Next my bf got their sweet spicy burger he specifically asked for no mustard cus he’s allergic THANKFULLY Benadryl helps and we keep it on hand since he can still consume it just needs to have that on hand. Good L-rd! - What a disappointment. Very crowded with an eclectic audience who I all suppose were let down by the performance. Burgers were incredibly greasy and just a let down. I made a special trip to this Gastonia location. The Gal serving the orders to the tables was the best part of my visit. I visited Saturday early evening – 27 December 2025. A Tractor Trailer was blocking a significant amount of the parking – which made things stressful. Vibe inside the restaurant was cheerful, but – I can’t help but feel cramped at the entrance where you order from the kiosk. French Fries were an abomination. As a Texan, I’ve grown up loving Whataburger — but the location here in Gastonia, NC is absolutely horrible. Tonight around 11:00 PM, customer service was completely non-existent. The employee on duty is someone I recognize, and honestly, when I see he’s working, I usually leave — that alone should say something. It felt like the entire failed training group was scheduled on the same shift with zero supervision. They couldn’t read a ticket, there was no one at the counter, and after waiting far too long, we stepped just behind the counter to get ketchup that was already listed on our kiosk order. Instead of helping, the employee snapped, told us to “get out,” and said he didn’t care why we were there. To make matters worse, I ordered two small chocolate shakes. What I received were one

Went here around 9:40 pm on Saturday, there were two drive thru lanes. The first one we were in, two cars were in front of us; the car at the ordering board was just sitting there not ordering / saying anything for like 10 mins, so we decided to go into the other drive thru lane. Mind you, two other cars had ordered and moved to the window from the second lane before we moved over into it. Once we got into the second lane, nothing was said to us at all. Instead, now someone was taking the car sitting in the first lanes order and we sat in the second lane, in silence, for another 10 mins. We ultimately decided to just pull up to the window and tell them our orders and let them know that no one serviced us at all in the second lane.
