Whataburger

Decided to give whataburger a try for breakfast. It was just ok. It was early, nobody in line in front of me. They took my order right away, I pull up to the window to pay, it took 3-4 mins just for them to take payment. Then they disappeared for 10+minutes and finally reappeared with the food. After I got home, the order was made correctly. The food was lukewarm, and I don't live far. The sausage and the pancakes were good, everything else needs improvement. The biscuits were hard and dry. Hash brown sticks were soggy, not crispy. Gravy was runny and lacking in flavor. Price paid was reasonable for amount of food received. We will give them another try for their burgers.

Staff very friendly, wait is a little much but that’s to be expected. Food.. fries are great! Just wish they were the bigger cut fries… but good none the less. The triple burger is huge.. my fiancé got it and said it was pretty good. It’s a lot bigger than other places. The “ spicy” chicken sandwich isn’t spicy at all.. chicken is delicious tho.. def get the buffalo chicken sandwich if you want any heat to it! The drinks.. man ole man these drinks! My fiancé got the prickly pear and I got the frosted blackberry.. can we say DELICIOUS for both of them? Man I could drink multiples of each! Sooooo good!

To be honest, the location is brand new and I have never personally eaten at a Whataburger. Its crawling with managers and staff. If that continues I'll be pleasantly surprised. Now for an evaluation. Everyone has on hair nets including the men with beards which was nice to see. Everything is spotless. The burger was very good and so were the fries. What surprised me was after repairing the shake machine twice, the large chocolate shake was delicious. Their owner or manager did win the ugliest sweater contest hands down with his Whataburger Sweater. Overall I was very impressed but the patties are a good 30 to 40% flatter than the pictures display them as. I know it's marketing. Regardless the actual patty was very good.

We ordered a Single Burger Combo w/cheese and a Pattymelt Combo. In addition we also got a pair of Apple Pies. Her Cheeseburger wasn't anything special. The burger was COLD, considering it was early afternoon and they weren't slammed, that's a big problem. She said it was 'OK' at best. Fries were un-salted and were kinda cold, too. My Pattymelt wasn't hot either and the bread was thick but kinda heavy, as if it was sitting waiting for it to be sold, and my fries came cold, too. Apple pies weren't worth the price that you pay. At least they were warm. It's cute that they bring out your food along with a tray that holds condiments. I heard the breakfast items are decent. We'll see. Until then, WHATABURGER is nothing more than What-a- DISAPPOINTMENT. .

Stopped in with my son for grand opening lunch! Had the “Original Whataburger” and it was delicious! Fries were cooked & salted perfectly! Fountain drinks have awesome chewy ice. Meal for both of us was $20. Decor is super nice with Christmas music playing! Good job Whataburger! Welcome to Mebane!
