White's Wayside

I went for one of their opening weekends and the food is SO GOOD. This place is now take out only, there is a very cute consignment shop in the old dining room with all sorts of cool stuff. They also now offer frozen take and bake entrees, I've tried the shepherds pie, chicken pot pie, chili and lasagna and it's all so good, the lasagna is probably my favorite. The bread is as good as ever and they offer some hot meals to go too! The new owners are really nice 🙂

If you are looking for a great breakfast or lunch made from scratch check out White's Wayside!! (9-2 on Saturday and Sunday only) I’ve driven past there soo many to go hiking and always thought it was a country store or diner. WRONG! no clue why it never shows up on my food searches. Anyhow, they make their bread and buns in house and almost everything else is from scratch and they use local eggs (not sure what else is local forgot to ask) ! We tried their biscuit and gravy (huge, delicious, no grease) French toast (made with homemade bread and they got our bacon perfectly crisp like we asked) and the Reuben was 🤤 🤤. White's Wayside is simply phenomenal! Everything on the menu is local, and they bake their own bread. The hamburgers are plump and juicy, and are served on buttery, toasted sourdough that make it perfectly savory. There's also a section that sells retail items, like local honey and syrup, as well as their own breads and other baked goods. You will absolutely love your visit here!

One of, if not the best breakfast spots in Augusta County. From service to value, simply priceless! I’ve been coming here for well over 30 years and WHITE’s has always been a delight to be part of! Thank you for your hospitality!

The take and bake meals are a life saver and so good ! I found lots of cute trinkets and gifts in the shop part ! Of course I got the famous bread ! Everything is so fresh !
