Whitestone Diner

The service was very good, although our waiter spoke very little English. At the end of the meal, I was surprised that a burger deluxe, a BLT with fries, and two coffees came to $60 before tip. The BLT was dry and bland, served without mayo, dressing, or any kind of sauce. The smash burger had good flavor, but it was not actually a smash burger. It was served with two regular-sized patties, and I had to remove one just to be able to eat it comfortably. Experiences like this make it easy to understand why many local diners are struggling. The pricing simply doesn’t justify what you receive.

We had a quick late dinner - arriving at 8p ( they close at 9p). The salads are pretty good here - nice portions, fresh ingredients...cobb salad and side of dolmas- very good! The burger was just as ordered - perfectly crisp bacon....the onion rings were so crunchy and delicious! The coffee was nice and strong too! I love a good diner and have to add this one to my go to list.

Food items can be good. had decent plates of things...grilled pork chops excellent. pancakes good, Greek lemon soup is excellent. Their prices are too aggressive, overcharging many items. Sandwiches average 20.00. 20.00!! on white bread. Not a foot long hero (which is approx 10.00-12.00 at most fair priced delis) they just did away their weekday breakfast specials (10.00 for two eggs, potatoes, toast, coffee & juice) the exact breakfast which used to cost 3.00 at Manhattan diners I frequented regularly, offered before the Pandemic. They charge FINE RESTAURANT PRICES...despite the fact that they are simply a local DINER. Their bowl of soup however is fair priced at 6.99. Good portion and tasty. But most every it en on their regular menu is overpriced. I ordered a rib eye steak recent

More than Quality Dinner food. Nice staff very attentive every time i eat there. Recommended to anyone who wants a quick bite or to sit and eat a full meal. My food of choice Burgers, they have yet to fail me. 👍 Delivery service always great never had a bad meal at home.
