Wide Awake Bakery

The bread is excellent, super delicious. All of their other baked goods that I've tried are super yummy. The cookies are really very good, especially the sesame tahini cookies. The Pan Suisse also very delicious. All the staff here are super sweet and kind. Yes the line can be long but it's totally worth it. I find that their Instagram is a great resource for updates regarding the bakery's specials and availability.

As a croissant aficionado, I'm always looking for a savory, flaky, and crunchy pastry to pair my morning coffee with. After years of looking all around Ithaca for the perfect croissant, I was all but disappointed and almost gave up. That was until I found Wide Awake at the local farmers market. Since then, I make it a point to grab a 3-pack of croissants to take home every weekend. But, what happens when I need my croissant fix on a Thursday? When I saw a line outside the door of the Wide Awake bakery, I thought to myself, a piece of bread can not be that good. I was wrong. With serious dedication to their craft and mindful selection of what ingredients goes in it, WAB has consistently surpassed my expectations for how good bread can be. I love all of their baked goods. My personal favorite is the Sunflower farmers. The staff are outstanding as well. A must stop in town.
