Great staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoyed the special mushroom appetizer. The rest of the food was OK but I expected more. Nothing really wrong with it but also a bit below expectations. I’ll have to come back and give it another try. I would recommend though. Be sure to BYOB if you want a drink.
Our party of 4 drove about an hour to get to Wild Annie's. It was so worth the drive. What a treat! I wish they were closer and we'd have a standing reservation. From drinks, to apps, to entrees, to hot cocoa desserts - every part of it was perfection. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. We had the best chat with the owners. Can't wait to go back! Our party had: crabby fries, fried toad stools, blue fig filet, flat iron hoof and sea, moody blue chicken, peppermint cocoa, and salted caramel cocoa. 10/10 recommend.
We’ve been here twice and both times it’s been outstanding. Service is well above 5 stars, servers are attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and the owner made a point to visit our table before we left, and it appears to be a regular habit, and one that I love. The food can’t be described. Appetizers and entrees that we’ve had so far have been perfection, but I think my meal today will be very hard to beat. I had the blue fig filet mignon and after the first bite I ate very slowly so I could savor every bite, and felt a little sad with the last bite even though I was full. Desserts are heaven, we’ve gotten them to bring home both times and will make sure we do that every time we go, they’re so good. It seems like every single item is house made, which is crazy impressive an well worth e
Updated review...December 8, 2025 First visit a couple months ago was great, this time not so much. Positive: my wife had a great burger with those awful Sysco flour battered fries that came out less than warm and mostly cold. Negative: i ordered the buffalo wings (special?) I did ask for them to be crispy, so when the inside of the wings were not cooked - SURPRISE! I understand that making wings extra crispy entails a double fry...Annie must have missed that. Instaed these poor chickens were dumped in the fryer wet, over fried so they absorbed too much oil and never cooked through. The very nice waitress said, "oh sorry" but never offered a solution. I think when a customer tells staff there was raw chicken served that should result in an immediate trip to the kitchen. Not today.
Wild Annie’s. (*note revised see owners reply) First time visit with Office get-together during lunch hour. *Atmosphere: Nestled in the woods just off Hwy 30 in McConnellsburg, it is just a half-hour drive from the Chambersburg area. There are no other distractions nearby. It is a wooden country-style building with an interior filled with homey decorations, carefully curated to not look schlocky. Nice main seating area with two side rooms for groups, one of which opens to outside in summer. Plenty of parking. (*kid friendly). *Food: The food is the best I have had in a long time for the price and setting! All the food appears to be as fresh as possible. Preparation and presentation are very nicely done for a casual atmosphere. Burgers, wraps, either plated or in baskets, are served with c
