Willamina Library

Children's programming has dropped off in the last year. Priorities have shifted to financial goals when they were once family, reading and community focused. Being open six days a week is unnecessary and leads to burnout in staff. It's a good place to pick up from, however, and they are unique in that they are a library with video games. The caveat being that you have to be local to check them out. Red tape is a palpable force here.

Great little library with personable staff. After living in Portland my whole life and using the vast Multnomah County library system, I couldn't be more pleased by the Chemeketa library system. It is so awesome! And the Willamina library is the best - we love our Willamina library!!

This Library is pretty amazing. Sara takes fantastic care of it and has alot of fun activities planned for our community (pre-covid). My partner and I love to go there and color in there many coloring books. They have a ton our gel pens to use. Also, you can rent movies as well as video games. They have a great selection. The computers and wifi are always available to use as well.

The Willamina Library is the epitome of amazing people making the community a BETTER place. Sarah is one of the nicest people in all of Oregon who'll do her best to help others. The Willamina Library is such a nice place with some of the best books ever written. That being said this library is about so much more than books, it offers great computers for use as well as internet access to anyone who may need it. Kids are also able to take advantage of special classes and events the library does to keep kids engaged and growing intellectually! It also allows a wide variety of movie rentals for the community to take advantage of which is such a wonderful thing because this is a small town with not a whole lot of things to do. I have appreciated this little library! The staff is great! They have a nice selection of books and dvds. It is nice to be able to look up and order books online and pick them up here, so close to home!
