Two months to get deposits back ? Yes what we have also is wonderful group of public servants.

By far the worst company on planet earth. They are running a monopoly and they know it. They know they are the only electric company in Willmar and hide behind the word Municipal because municipal means they don't have to follow any Minnesota laws. They have absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. They are just downright mean and rude. They charge ridiculous rates cause they know the customers have no other choice. They aren't willing to work with people as far as payments. All they say is nope, nope, nope. Even if they know you're on your way to make a payment, they tell you better be here before the disconnect guys cause we won't tell them to wait. They're making a killing off reconnect fees. They are absolutely aweful

Just called to ask about setting up service. Because they are the ONLY ones in town. Spoke to the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Coming from a customer service background, I'd recommend revamping how you treat your client base. But you control the market so it's unlikely you will change anything.

I agree with many of the other poor reviews. Recently they apparently changed my bill due date. It would have been a courtesy to send a letter notifying me of the change instead of adding it as kind of an aside to the most current bill.

I'm not sure why a review matters since they clearly could care less about their 2 star rating. And since they aren't allowed any competition and thus have zero motivation for improvement..But I am shocked at the terrible policies and the cold and unhelpful attitudes regarding them at WMU. Disgusting that utilities which were canceled accidentally, require a NEW deposit just days later, when there should already be a deposit on file from the initial set up. Terrible that a renter can claim to move out when the do not-putting their utilities wrongfully into someone eases name with no options of recourse.
